Amazing and unique opportunity to join a team consisting of THREE CAREGIVERS to provide 1:1 care for a single client in her own personal residence. We already have two Caregivers who provide coverage Sun-Wed. Looking to fill our final position - THURS, FRI, & SAT. Must be available to work all three days. No substitutions - other caregiver days are already set. Days/Hours: Thurs, Fri, and Sat. Responsibility for my mom during her awake hours on these days (approx. 7am to 7pm), with Thurs., Fri., Sat. evenings/nights on-call (on-call evenings consist of keeping a baby monitor on overnight in case she awakes and needs assistance). She very rarely needs overnight assistance, but when needed those hours are paid at an additional hourly rate. Errands and grocery shopping are divided between the caregivers. Live-In Position: This is a LIVE-IN position. A significant portion of the compensation for this job is in the form of tax-free room and board. When wages and tax-free room and board are combined, feels like the equivalent of $80k/year. See attached comparison of $80k/year in pay, less taxes vs. $30k/year, less taxes plus tax-free room and board. A private on-site 540 sq ft apartment located in the property's detached guest house provided for the caregiver's full-time regular residence/living. This is NOT a shared apartment. We have three units, with three caregivers when fully staffed. Employee housing only - no additional residents. Overnight visitors allowed, with reasonable limitations. No pets. Housing is provided as a regular residence for the Caregivers; offers to reside off-site and commute for shifts will not be considered. We are looking for someone with some degree of flexibility with days/hours to pick up some additional hours/shifts (as needed) in case another caregiver is out sick, on vacation, etc. Caregiver apartments are located approx. 10 ft from my mom's private casita. Large lot in a great neighborhood, private parking. Great opportunity to have all living expenses covered with consistent pay PLUS have 4 days off per week. Pay/Compensation - Total compensation package of over $5,500k per month consisting of: - $2,500/month in W2 pay (@ standard tax withholdings this is about $485/week) - $3k+/month in paid Rent and Living Expenses: • Paid Rent: Provided private fully furnished 540 sq ft apartment with private entrance, kitchen, and washer/dryer in unit. • Paid Utilities: Electric, water/sewer/trash, internet, streaming TV • Provided/Paid Cell Phone: Provided iPhone 14 with service • Provided/Paid Groceries/Household Supplies: On-site grocery store/area stocked with a variety of pantry, refrigerator, freezer, and general household goods. For caregiver personal use only. Included photos. • Provided On-site Storage: Provided private 8x5 storage unit • Auto Reimbursement: Reimbursement for approved auto repair expenses up to $50/month - Paid PTO and sick leave - Additional hours available at $15/hr Rent and Living Expenses provided after successful completion of 2-week trial period. Trial/training period is paid at $18/hr. Duties: Daily assistance with ADLs - meal prep, taking blood pressure, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, toileting, and transfers. My mom has significant weakness on one side from a prior stroke. Caregiver must be physically capable of safely transferring an approx. 140 lb woman w/ a gait belt. Caregivers without strong transfer skills will not be considered. Position is to assist her in her personal residence throughout the day and provide companionship. Private 1:1 care. Because of the personal nature of the job (toileting/bathing), FEMALE APPLICANTS ONLY. *We are finishing construction on our new house. Construction is almost complete. My mom has a private apartment that is attached to the main house. Provided caregiver apartments are in a detached guest house that is under construction, construction is nearly complete. Temporary on-site housing provided during construction following a 2-week trial period (approx. 225 sq ft brand new guest room with private bathroom, kitchenette, only accessible from the exterior of the house - see included photos). AT THIS TIME, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO CONSIDER LOCAL APPLICANTS (who are already living in the Phoenix metropolitan area). Reliable and dependable attendance is required.
