Responsible for managing crisis and other emergencies as well as fire and safety watch. 2. Maintains clients’ records, contributes to progress notes, and conducts chart audits. 3. Escorts clients to 12 Step meetings, other program functions, and outside functions as needed. 4. Coordinates and supervises client activities 5. Under the direction of the Medical Director, via R.N., monitors the condition of minor medical conditions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. At least 18 years old with High School Diploma 2. Eligible for certification in CPR and First Aid. 3. Valid driver’s license and a current clean abstract. Physical/Mental Demands 1. Moderate physical effort (lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds); frequent standing/walking; occasionally lifts supplies/equipment. Aloha Nursing Rehab Centre is a Kaneohe-based Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facility. Aloha is currently seeking Full-Time and Part-time Certified Nursing Assistants who are certified in the State of Hawaii. The primary purpose of this role is to act as the front-line caregiver to our residents to ensure their comfort and safety by assisting them with activities of daily living, such as grooming, bathing, eating, and mobility. Under the supervision of licensed nurses (RNs/LPNs), CNAs also provide simple, technical nursing services. CNA Shift times: Day shift: 6 am - 2:30 pm Eve shift: 2 pm - 10:30 pm Overshift/Noc shift: 10 pm - 6:30 pm Essential Job Duties include: Assist with mouth and denture care Bathe residents, shampoo hair, shave male residents, trim nails and provide hair care Ensure residents are properly and comfortably clothed at all times Make beds and change linens as necessary for proper infection control measures Assist residents with meals, assist with before and after meal care (e.g., hand washing) Assist residents to and from the bathroom Prepare residents for tests, visits, treatments, activities and therapies as directed Perform personal services for residents within reason, such as reading, operating television or radio, or whatever possible that will promote comfort, security and rehabilitation Non-Certified Nursing Assistants may receive a lower rate of pay until obtaining the required certification for this position.
