Position Summary: Provide recreational therapy and activities to clients in care facilities/ group homes as an independent contractor position. Duties/Responsibilities: • Implement an appropriate recreation therapy program for all residents/clients directed by the Senior Fitness director. • Greet residents/clients upon arrival and set a positive tone for each day. • Arrive on time and allow for appropriate set-up time and take down. • Take necessary measures to ensure a safe environment for oneself, residents/clients, visitors, and staff. • Check in with the Director of Senior Fitness at the end of your day. Qualifications: • Recreation therapy knowledge or willing to learn necessary skills to run fun therapeutic programs for residents/clients. • Ability to work independently. • Good organizational skills. Requirements: • Excellent interaction and communication skills. • Maintains a positive attitude. • Must be flexible.
