Job Summary: The Optometric Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting our optometrists and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in our practice. This position involves assisting with patient care, performing preliminary eye examinations, and handling administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities: -Greet and assist patients with check-in/check-out procedures -Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar -Conduct preliminary eye tests and measurements, such as visual acuity, eye pressure, and retinal imaging -Educate patients on proper contact lens care and usage -Process patient orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses -Maintain accurate patient records and update the electronic health records system -Handle billing and insurance processing -Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the practice Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in eye care is a plus -Previous experience in an optometric, ophthalmology, or medical office setting preferred -Strong organizational and multitasking skills -Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities -Proficiency with computer systems and electronic health records -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive patient information confidentially Please attach your resume with your response and inquiry.
