Your Only Friend, an aspiring James Beard award-winning sandwich shop and cocktail bar created by Paul Taylor and Sherra Kurtz, who, according to both of their mom’s are going to be real successful, is looking to hire a Line Cook/Sandwich Maker to become part of their team. You would work directly with the owner/operators to execute their sandwich and beverage vision, and ultimately prove their mothers correct. We are looking for someone who: - With previous kitchen or prep experience, sandwich experience is a plus; - General interest in food, sandwiches interest is a major plus; - Thinks a combination of filling and bread might change the world; - Task-oriented and focused on keeping a clean work area; - Has traveled (minimum distance of 25 miles or 40.2336 kilometers) to a specific place because they just HAD to eat or drink something there; - Has invested a minimum of 3 hours delving into the deep, intricate origin stories of smoked, boiled, fermented, canned, or encased food products; Job responsibilities; - Sando and menu fabrication (bread and filling composition) - Order packaging and fulfillment - Inventory and par management and communication - Prep assistance when necessary - Stocking and restocking - Opening and closing duties - Grease filtration and disposal - Equipment upkeep - Daily and weekly cleaning - Restroom upkeep and restoration - Other duties as assigned Some benefits; Competitive pay; Educational Support; Accrued paid time off; Tasty sandwiches; We are seeking someone who is passionate and excited about hospitality, food (mainly sandwiches, but we like other foods as well), and beverages.
