Who we are A casual elegant American steakhouse featuring a large meat locker display in the entry, custom built wine cabinets to showcase the all world selections, and accordion doors that allow the entire front of the restaurant to open onto the main thorough fair for great people watching. We specialize in hand-cut, perfectly prepared Prime Angus Steaks and offer imported, rare, and exclusive A5 Japanese Wagyu selections, all aged and hand-cut in our butcher shop. What you’ll bring to table Certified Sommelier (Level 1 or higher) In depth knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and pairing techniques At least 2 years of experience in a sommelier role Passion for education, both for team members and guests Detail orientated, organized, and professional under pressure Wine List Keeps list up to date, auditing and printing new lists when necessary Keep wine list in good condition and upkeep for all services Communicating cross-offs and wine updates to the entire wine and management team Responsible for monthly inventories and regularly scheduled admin days Staff Training Trains staff on wine knowledge, pairings and sales techniques.  Conducts regular tastings to ensure the staff is well-versed on BTG offerings Orients staff to general navigation of the wine list  Ensures staff is in the know on all additions and deletions from the list Facility and Inventory Maintain an organized and clean cellar, utilizing all caves, and bottle storage in the dining rooms for smooth operations.  Ensure that all alcoholic beverage deliveries are checked in and correct Ensure all alcoholic beverages are located correctly in Craftable Process all invoices in a timely manner, following up on any billing disputes Conduct monthly beverage inventory of all beverage products Ensure that all security controls are adhered to Sets proper controls/temperatures and ensure they are adhered to Service Work dinner service five nights per week Dress attire will be business casual for service  Interact with guests, make recommendations and serve customers as required Execute wine service and assist in all elements of service otherwise as business needs dictate Monitors wine service and trains according to service manual What we offer Medical/Dental/Vision insurance for F/T employees Sick Pay 401k Room for advancement  Dining discounts  Compensation & The Opportunity Ahead This role is offered at $17.95 per hour plus tips.
