Chateau Cupertino Retirement Residence is an Independent Living Community for seniors, with a vibrant & close-knit atmosphere. We provide full services to our residents including, but not limited to; homestyle gourmet menus for each meal, weekly housekeeping, valet, personal laundry service and an extensive activity calendar! We're seeking for a part-time server. This is a great opportunity for a dependable, friendly and outgoing individual to be serving our residents during dinner. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities: Restaurant servers ensure that our residents have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service. Servers work in the dining room taking orders, serving food and drinks, and removing dinnerware from the table in a timely manner. A food handler card or permit is also required. We are looking for a motivated Server to join our team. We operate an upscale restaurant and we need wait staff with prior serving experience to provide excellent, timely service to our residents and their guests. Our servers work short shifts (typically 5 hours), which allows you to schedule your shifts around school/studying obligations or other jobs. In return, we ask you to arrive on time, always smile for our residents, and respond to guest inquiries in a timely manner. To excel in this position, you need a high level of customer service skill and a willingness to meet guests’ needs quickly and politely. Server responsibilities and duties: • Take and process residents’ and guests’ orders in a timely fashion • Memorize drink and dessert menu for on-demand recitation • Offer coffee with desserts and drinks as appropriate for individual residents’, guests’ and parties • Manage large groups quickly and efficiently through attentive service and precise order taking • Maintain a fine dining atmosphere and handle guest complaints and requests quickly Attributes: • 2+ years wait staff experience a plus, but training is available. • Excellent customer service • Ability to work well under intense time pressure • Excellent emotional control in fast-paced environments Must work weekends, One day off during the week
