We're looking for a strong, reliable, and humble person to join our kitchen leadership team at Black Bottle Seattle (Belltown).
Our kitchen is saying goodbye to long-standing lead in September, and we're committed to hiring thoughtfully not quickly. We're seeking people who care deeply about their work, are dependable teammates, treat co-workers kindly, and are eager to grow into leadership.
What we're looking for:
Fluent English speaker bilingual Spanish/English is a plus, but not required.
Someone who communicates clearly and respectfully with a mostly Spanish-speaking team.
You might not have held a lead title before, but you have the right work ethic, attitude, and willingness to learn.
You lead by example, not ego pitching in, staying cool under pressure, and helping raise the bar for others.
You want to work in a kitchen that values quality, structure, trust, and calm professionalism.
What the role includes:
Supporting and enforcing the chef s systems and expectations.
Ensuring the preparation and execution of quality and consistently delicious food that we can all be proud of.
Working the line (this is a hands-on role).
Communicating clearly with FOH, BOH, and management.
Ensuring cleanliness, food safety, and prep standards.
Training, correcting, and supporting newer team members.
Contributing ideas for menus and specials.
Being part of a tight-knit crew that genuinely has each other s backs.
