What You’ll Do Supervise daily front-of-house operations in the restaurant and lounge, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming atmosphere. Lead, train, and mentor a team of servers, bartenders, and support staff, fostering teamwork, accountability, and professional growth. Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and shift coverage to balance guest needs and labor budgets. Uphold service standards, presentation, and ambiance, including table settings, lighting, music, and cleanliness. Partner with the kitchen manager and culinary team to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely food & beverage delivery. Monitor bar inventory and ensure compliance with OLCC service requirements. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and care. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations as well as liquor laws. Assist with budget management, cash handling, invoice processing, and cost control. Jump in as needed—whether bartending, running food, or supporting the team during peak hours. What We’re Looking For Previous supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant, lounge, or hospitality setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and coach a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of food & beverage operations, including bar management and service standards. Ability to stay organized under pressure and maintain high service quality during busy shifts. OLCC service permit and Food Handler’s card required (or ability to obtain prior to start). Why Join Us? Chais Delachaise is looking for a part time, experienced server. We are a locally-owned, neighborhood wine bar and bistro located on Maple Street near Tulane and Loyola Universities. We have a small, tight-knit team, a robust wine and cocktail program, and a loyal, growing customer-base. Requirements: We are looking for at least 2 years of recent, high-volume serving experience. Wine knowledge is a huge plus as we are primarily a wine bar, but we do provide wine training. We are a pooled house, so teamwork and helping to take care of guests outside of your section is essential. Schedule: 3-4 days a week, Wednesday through Sunday. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be able to bend, reach, and remain on your feet for up to 7 hours straight. Duties: Duties include but are not limited to -getting ice for the bar -changing CO2 tanks -restocking beer and wine throughout service and at the end of the night -monitoring stock of cold wines and icing more bottles down as needed -refilling juices and syrups for the bartender -batching house cocktails, syrups, etc for the bartender -polishing glassware (a lot!)
