position open: Dishwasher & Busser in a fast paced, fine casual restaurant in Emeryville. Work hours: WED-SAT Diner time, Shift start 5:00pm, 5:30pm or 6:00pm. shift ends around 10:40~11:00. Job description and requirement: - This job is a combination of dishwasher and busser. - when you are assigned as busser: 1. Bussing table in dining room: Half of the working time you will be busser: buss table from dining room with hospitality and speed 2. Handle plates with care 3. help to dry dishes 4. help to expedite dish washing by placing the dishes, or help to scrub dishes - when you are assign to be dishwasher: 1. wash dishes to meet our standard 2. wash with speed 3. wash with care (we use ceramic plates, not plastic plates) - occasionally will need your help to do prep work Job requirement: - must work in restaurant before - must have dish washing experience and have handle fast-paced service before - must have table bussing experience - able to communicate with English for work-realted topics (note: we have diversity of background and have different native languages. in order to communicate among each other with the whole team, we choose english to be the language we communicate for the work daily) - able to stand for long hours . - able to life 40 lbs About us: We are a fine casual dining place . We care about table-side hospitality We care about handeling the plates carefuly (We use ceramic plates, NOT plastic plates. and some plates is so delicate needs to handwash) We are a queer and women led business and pride ourself to have a good working environment for us to thrive everyday.
