We are currently seeking a skilled, reliable, and professional Line Cook to join our culinary team. Hablar español está bien Responsibilities: -Execute dishes accurately and consistently according to chef’s standards -Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen -Work clean, fast, and with precision during busy shifts -Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines -Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. -Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. -Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times. -Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed. -Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. -Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes. -Participate in menu planning and development, offering suggestions based on seasonal ingredients. -Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. Qualifications: -Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment. -Strong knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards. -Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting. -Familiarity with various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. -Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively. -A passion for culinary arts with a commitment to high-quality meal preparation. -Previous experience as a dietary aide or in the food industry is a plus. -Culinary school diploma or equivalent training is preferred but not required. We are a neighborhood bakery and cafe with two locations in Brooklyn and one in Queens serving fresh baked goods, made to order breakfast and specialty coffee every morning into early evening. We are looking for an AM Pastry Chef to help run one of our locations. You must have management experience, be self-motivated, be creative, and have the desire to bake beautiful fresh pastries with seasonal ingredients early every morning. This is a position with a lot of room for growth. We look for candidates who are passionate about good food, work well in a team environment as well as independently. You must have at least 2-3 years experience working in a professional kitchen or bakery, the ability to multi task, be highly organized, be willing and able to stand for 8 hours, lift 50lb and command basic knife skills.
