Part-Time Cook Position – Senior Center Café (Scappoose) We are seeking a dedicated part-time cook to join our senior center café team in Scappoose. The position is available on Mondays and Fridays, with shifts lasting approximately 5 to 6 hours each day, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The primary responsibility will be serving a pre-fixed lunch to a group of about 30 to 50 people. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and serve pre-set lunches for 30 to 50 guests. • Operate kitchen equipment including fryer, grill, convection oven, and perform food preparation tasks as needed. • Follow established recipes accurately to ensure meal consistency and quality. • Assist with menu planning and preparation. • Help manage inventory and stock supplies as required. • Provide occasional backup support for Monday and Friday evening Bingo events. Qualifications and Requirements • Experience working with fryer, grill, and general food prep. • Ability to accurately follow recipes and directions. • Must possess a valid food handler’s card. • Reliable transportation is essential. • Strong customer service skills are preferred. • Ability to maintain cleanliness and demonstrate pride in food presentation. • Must be clean, friendly, creative, and able to work well as part of a team.
