Description

Campfire is looking for strong and dedicated servers, and back-waiters to join our team! Being a part of something meaningful to a community and bringing joy to people's lives is what we are so very passionate about, and we are looking for people who share that passion. ABOUT YOU We look for people who are creative, hard working, open-minded, and optimistic. We are not looking for someone who only cares about food and drink. We are looking for someone to be part of a team that is equally devoted to the guests who enjoy that food and drink, someone who truly cares about providing those people with both nourishment and nurturing. We love to find people with experience working in high-level restaurants, but that is not required. What is required is that you are a good person, someone who cares about the success of your colleagues, someone whose confidence is outweighed only by your humility, someone who knows that mistakes are both inevitable and highly instructive. We love to find people who reflect a diversity of backgrounds and experiences because it makes our work and restaurant culture more dynamic, rich, unique, and ever- evolving. We don’t hire robots who read from scripts. We hire human beings who have deep wells of empathy, the capacity for knowledge, and a dedication to strive for perfection… however unattainable it may be. So yes, we want our colleagues to be dedicated to the restaurant and hospitality business. But does that mean you need to have all the answers? No. Do you need to want to continually evolve, learn and grow? Absolutely. Campfire is an incredible place, and it deserves an incredible team. So we are looking for people who are joyful, reliable, curious, passionate, and ready to show up every day for each other and for our guests, ensuring that the time every person spends with us, is time well-spent. ABOUT THE RESTAURANT Led by Chef Eric Bost (auburn and Republique in Los Angeles, Restaurant Guy Savoy and Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée), Campfire is a community gathering place, a 180-seat restaurant that harnesses elemental live-fire techniques with a sophisticated yet rustic approach to New American cooking with elegant, vibrant, and seasonal flavors. At Campfire, we aim to celebrate the spirit of our name, in which friends and loved ones gather around a fire to share food, drink and stories. Our culinary approach is reflective of this desire, and our wood-fired cookery evokes a sense of time and place, with the California coasts, deserts, and forests serving as constant sources of inspiration. We strive to provide work that is meaningful and allows for growth, education, and a sense of purpose and belonging. Our team makes the restaurant what it is, and we look forward to welcoming some more great people to join us. We believe that there is dignity, purpose and meaning in the work we do, and that our employees should be well-compensated for bringing their talents, joy and desire to the restaurant each and every day. Therefore, we strive to provide competitive wages, benefits, opportunities for growth, and thoughtful leadership, reflecting the value we place on our team.
