Position Overview: We're on the lookout for a dynamic and passionate Part-Time Art Teacher to join our dedicated team. As an Art Teacher at Alyce's Art Studio, you'll have the opportunity to inspire and guide young artists while fostering a sense of belonging within our creative community. Responsibilities: -Lead fine art drawing and painting classes for children and teens in small groups. -Adapt curriculum to meet developmental needs. -Participate in studio organization, maintenance, and clean-up. -Interact with parents to strengthen our artistic community. -Be available for occasional weekend events and parties. -Collaborate with fellow staff to run Sunday birthday parties. Requirements: -Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children. -Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or equivalent educational background. -Proficiency in both realistic and imaginative drawing and painting. -Advanced knowledge of traditional fine art media, including graphite pencils, pen and ink, watercolor, oil pastels, colored pencils, markers, chalk pastels, charcoal, oil paint, and acrylic paint. -Excellent communication skills and customer service acumen. -Team player mentality with the ability to maintain an energetic and upbeat teaching pace. -Willingness to learn and implement our teaching methodology and curriculum. -Reliable transportation with a recommended commute time of less than 20 minutes each way. -Must be able to pass a background check. -Authorization to work in the US. -Commitment to a one-year tenure. Schedule: -Studio operates Monday through Saturday, with immediate availability for part-time -Two-week training period. -Saturdays from 9:15 am to 3:45 pm are required. Sculpture studio laborer needed. Must be familiar with lost wax process / handling rubber molds/ pouring waxes/ chasing/ investment processes. Must be familair with art studio /shop/ atomsphere. Tedious demanding work so must be skilled with details of handmade work. Must be Productive. Candidate must be focused and meet timing demands relating to processes. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, and a self motivated individual who is collaborative and has a minimum of three years full-time experience working for an interior design firm. Candidates will be expected to help principal manage multiple projects, create proposals, purchase orders, manage vendors and timelines, create schedules and specifications, budget management, help manage installations, track orders, edit and create CAD drawings, manage office, maintain supplies, assist on installations. Additional Skills: Able to work independently, has at least 3 years of experience working for an interior design firm, can problem solve, and is meticulous in both their work and in helping keep the office and systems organized. Software Proficiency: -AutoCAD - Intermediate. Must be able to read and draft furniture plans, custom furniture designs, title blocks, sheet sets, RCP, elevations, millwork, details. -Studio Designer - Proficient in Studio Designer or similiar program. Will need to enter estimates, items, proposals, purchase orders, vendor contact info, etc. -Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Powerpoint -Photoshop and Sketchup - Not required but a bonus. Bright and sunny office 2 blocks from the beach on the canals. Owner brings small dogs to office so must be ok with dogs. We are needing an In-House Graphic Designer, communicating with clients via Email, Telephone, and In-Person. Translate clients’ needs into design strategies, and have the ability to clearly communicate design choices using any of these platforms. Multi-tasking, prepare proofs for clients, prepare files for printing in-house, prepare files for printing via outsource - a must. Daily duties include: Designing, setting things up for printing, emailing customers, answering phones, helping customers, measuring things, printing, scanning, answering phones, keeping the shop clean, using the cash register and credit card machine. Must be able to manage your time to get projects done on-time and in a timely manner and become familiar with materials and finishes used. We work together as a team.
