Science Entertainment Enterprises (SEE) is an independent film initiative seeking to hire a part-time Prop/Set Fabricator to join our team to create a Hard Sci-Fi Medical Educational TV film series. This position involves creative artistic attributes and heavy lifting in the creating and building then moving the props/sets and gear into the film studios along with maintenance during filming. Duties include fabricating and modifying vintage medical, chemical, biological, and aviation scientific equipment to fictitious electrical and plumbing systems, to outfit our laboratory and spaceships in the mission to save our Milky Way from the Villanites. The ideal candidate will have experience using power tools to work with nuts, bolts, connectors, and fittings, creating assemblies that look realistic. An artistic vision for science fiction and education is important. SEE’s Set/Prop Shop and the Denver broadcasting studio for filming are professional, safety-sensitive environment with high-end equipment. Recreational drug or alcohol use before or during work is prohibited. All staff must report clear-headed and fit for duty. Position base is $25/hours (depending on experience/education) with potential for additional hours. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
