




Hi there! We’re looking for a fun, kind, and dependable respite worker to hang out with our son Benjamin, a 17-year-old with Down syndrome and Autism. Ben is funny, full of personality, and loves music, dancing, and laughing. What we’re looking for: - Someone who is fun, energetic, and lighthearted - Enjoys getting outside, going on adventures, and being active - Has experience working with kids or adults with disabilities (especially those with higher needs) - Ideally pursuing or has completed an undergrad degree in a related field (education, psychology, special ed, etc.) Schedule & Pay: - Saturdays & Sundays, flexible hours — ideally around 10am–3pm - Up to 10 hours per weekend total - $30/hr ($18/hr through SDRC + $12/hr supplement from us) -We’ll cover any activities, lunch and gas Activities might include: - Going to the beach, park, or movies - Attending sessions at Gigi’s Playhouse (a community center for kids/adults with Down syndrome) - Listening to music, going for walks, watching TV, or any other fun outings that gets Ben engaged and smiling We want someone who will connect with Ben, help him have fun, and make his weekends joyful and active.
