Join the founding team at Mi Second Casa, a brand-new Spanish immersion preschool in San Mateo where children grow through play, culture, and connection. We’re currently hiring Full-Time Teachers for our and Infant/Toddler classrooms. At Mi Second Casa, we believe in creating a warm, inclusive space where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to explore. Our Spanish immersion program is rooted in play-based learning, family partnerships, and a deep respect for childhood. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support children’s learning and development. - Create a nurturing, structured, and stimulating Spanish immersion environment. - Observe and document each child’s growth through portfolios, assessments, and regular communication with families. - Foster independence, problem-solving, and social-emotional skills through intentional interactions and classroom routines.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that meets all state licensing requirements. - Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive, enriching experience for all children. Position Details: - Full-time 8 hour shift positions, Monday through Friday - Pay rate: $27–$31/hour, depending on experience and the Child Development Permit held Start date: Tentatively October 2025 Qualifications (All Teachers): - Must be at least 18 years old - Minimum of 12 ECE units, including core courses in child development, child/family/community, and curriculum - At least 6 months of experience in a licensed early childhood program - Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Fluency in Spanish required, with the ability to communicate and teach in a full immersion setting - If applying for the Infant/Toddler Teacher position, candidates must have at least 3 ECE units specifically in infant/toddler development, as required by licensing. - Must be fluent in Spanish Benefits: - Health, dental, and vision insurance - Paid holidays - Three weeks of paid vacation - Childcare discount - SIMPLE IRA retirement plan - Support for professional development, including ECE credit reimbursement - Collaborative and supportive team environment - If you’re an enthusiastic, caring educator who values community, culture, and early learning, we’d love to hear from you!
