About Us Familias First provides in-home Applied Behavioral (ABA) services to individuals with disabilities in the LA County and Inland Empire. We have been working directly with children, teens, young adults and adults since 2002. ABOUT THE POSITION: Familias First is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team. This is a part-time position with a minimum of 15 hours per week, however; full time position may be available depending on your availability and client needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the client and parent by providing 1:1 ABA therapy. The candidate will work independently following a Behavior Intervention Plan for the client, Take data on client progress & Teach parents ABA techniques. This is an entry level position, and no previous ABA experience is required. The candidates will go through a month-long paid ABA training. Training includes the 40-hour modules & RBT certification, CPR, CPI training, hands-on practice/role play of ABA interventions. Our services are provided in the Los Angeles area, San Gabriel Valley and the Inland Empire. We provide our services in the following cities and surrounding cities; East LA, Boyle Heights, South Gate, Whittier, El Monte, Baldwin Park, South LA, San Gabriel, Montebello, Pomona, San Bernardino and Fontana. Summary This position provides culturally sensitive, in-home and community visitation services to families (prenatal to five) within Santa Fe and Rio Arriba County.  The home visitor provides education and support through use of reflective listening and utilizes structured curriculum to provide optimal opportunities for child and family growth and development.  The home visitor assists families in linking with relevant community resources and completes developmental and other screens as required by program standards.  The home visitor must participate in relevant program activities, such as training and supervision.  Extensive local travel is required, as well as working some evening and weekend hours, and all activities must be documented in electronic and other files. Key Areas of Responsibility: Provide support, education, referrals, and assistance in the home setting to parents within Santa Fe and Rio Arriba Counties. Attend all staff meetings and scheduled training sessions. Attend all scheduled supervision and actively participate in the process. Maintain an active caseload, adhering to minimum visit requirements and other guidelines as established by program standards. Maintain clinical records (primarily electronic) according to program standards and guidelines. Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA requirements of families receiving home visiting services. Demonstrate understanding of different backgrounds, family situations, and values; provide services in a culturally sensitive manner. Represent and advocate for home visiting and other Growing Up New Mexico programs in the community. Collaborate and coordinate services with other community agencies. Create and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and community partners. Submit required information for reports to funders in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain a record of scheduled home visits according to program guidelines. As directed, represent Growing Up NM at special events or programs (events may be held outside regular work hours). Perform within the prescribed limits of Growing Up NM's ethics and compliance policies. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. College or graduate degree preferred in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Counseling, or related field. Experience working with populations served to include children ages 0-5, pregnant mothers and families representing a wide range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, highly preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.  Ability to maintain accurate and current records and correspondence using both paper and electronic files. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to pass a mandatory background clearance required of all childcare workers in the State of New Mexico. CPR certified within first 90 days of employment. FAN (Facilitating Attuned Interactions) certification within one year of hire. If required, successful completion of Infant Family Studies Certificate within 2 years of hire. Reliable transportation with valid New Mexico driver's license, current automobile registration and proof of auto insurance. Ability to work well in culturally diverse settings, which includes knowledge of local population served. Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
