North Village Preschool is seeking a part-time assistant teacher with the possibility of full-time employment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves supporting the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and promoting the overall development of students. NVP is a small mixed age group program. We enroll children 18 months through 6 years old. Our school year is from September to June. Our summer program is from June through August. We offer half-day and full-day options. We are open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Responsibilities •Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging lesson plans •Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment. •Foster relationships with students to encourage their social, emotional, and academic growth. •Help implement individualized education plans for students. •Supervise & engage with students during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. •Speak with families about their child's day. •Collaborate with other staff members. •Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development.
