CurbWaste is an early-stage vertical SaaS company on a mission to transform the Waste Management industry — a critical sector that has long been underserved by modern technology. We’re here to change that. Our customers are the backbone of essential infrastructure: humble, hard-working operators running complex businesses with little support from software. We’re building tools that bring them the power, clarity, and efficiency they deserve — and we’re just getting started. At CurbWaste, we hold a high bar. We challenge each other to grow every day, operate with trust and ownership, and are relentlessly focused on delivering real value to our customers. Your work will directly shape the trust our customers place in us and ensure we deliver software they can depend on to run their businesses. The ideal candidate is a meticulous, curious problem-solver who thrives on breaking things, finding edge cases, and pushing software to its limits. You’ll join a growing QA team that is already building strong testing practices, and you’ll play a key role in scaling our processes, collaborating across functions, and raising the bar for product quality at CurbWaste. What You Will Do Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases across our web and mobile applications Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and edge cases Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and follow-through Perform regression, integration, and exploratory testing to validate new features and releases Contribute to the development of scalable QA processes, tooling, and standards as the team grows Advocate for usability, performance, and reliability across the product lifecycle Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews) to ensure quality considerations are baked in from the start Requirements 2–4 years of experience in software QA (QA Analyst, QA Engineer, or similar role), ideally in a SaaS environment Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes Experience with test case management and issue-tracking tools (e.g., TestRail, Jira) Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) is a plus Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail Passion for quality and a customer-first mindset Experience in logistics, last-mile delivery, or route optimization is a plus Background in vertical SaaS or industry-specific software is a plus Must be based in the NYC area with valid work authorization Benefits This is not just a job, this is a career, it’s an opportunity to make a real impact in a critical industry.
