Essential Duties: Performs analysis of Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), missile warning, missile tracking, and missile defense, space system and subsystems Performs analysis of test capabilities Identifies test capability requirements Identifies test capability shortfalls Develops test methodologies and tools Recommends approaches to operational test and integrated developmental / operational test activities Provides inputs to Space Force Test Delta in support of planning requirements and OT&E activities Collects and analyzes data to assist in the evaluation of system readiness / effectiveness / suitability / progress, and make recommendations to the test director Reviews, analyzes, and reports to test director status of Systems Program Office, and developmental contractor’s space systems documentation Assists in determining the capability of the system to withstand natural and man-made threat environments, and quantify the degree of impairment Assists in preparing test documentation for inclusion in test and evaluation reports Assists in the preparation of briefings or slides as part of the report coordination process Assists in the preparation of lessons learned reports Participates in Integrated Test Teams Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Background in developmental testing experience and has experience with development, testing and operations of, Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), missile warning, missile tracking, and missile defense. Preferably has experience with proliferated low Earth orbit (pLEO) constellation support, and Position Navigation and Timing Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) field Background in operational testing highly desired Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance and have SCI eligibility. Must maintain level of clearance required for this position. Background in space systems, missile warning, and satellite communications Position requires practical application of: The methods and techniques of engineering or systems architecture The construction, application, properties, operations, and limitations of engineering systems, and processes Ability to utilize Design of Experiments as it applies to test design Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines Must have the ability to quickly understand the customers’ overall technical objectives and mission and provide effective solutions Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities. Welding: Skilled in welding processes to repair and modify aircraft parts. Fabrication: Experienced in creating tools and parts from scratch as well as repairing and modifying existing components. Inspection: Capable of assessing aircraft parts for condition and functionality, ensuring compliance with operational standards. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an FAA-approved sheet metal mechanic program. 3+ years of experience as a sheet metal mechanic, with a minimum of 2 years working on aircraft. Must be a U.S. Citizen. In-depth knowledge of multiple helicopter platforms, including: - Airbus: H125 (AS350) and H130 - Bell: 407 and 412 - Agusta: 109 and 119 Strong working knowledge of blueprint reading, geometry, and trigonometry. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Familiarity with aviation maintenance manuals. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a sheet metal mechanic, with at least 2 years on aircraft. Experience working on commercial or military aircraft. Certification from the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR). Leadership experience in a supervisory or management role.
