We are currently partnered up with an investment firm in the real estate space who is looking to add a driven Accounting Manager to their team. This person will be reporting directly to the SVP of Finance/Controller and will cross collaborate with the firm's departments and work with external business partners. Responsibilities of the role include month end close, preparing investor reports, coordinating audits, general ledger maintenance, and more. This candidate should have their Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related and at least 4 years of relevant experience. CLIENT OVERVIEW: Our client, a large and well-established organization in the industrial supplier space, is looking to add a Cash Applications Specialist. This company is looking for an experienced professional that can work on a team just as effectively as they can work independently. SALARY/HOURLY RATE: $24/hr POSITION OVERVIEW: The Cash Applications Specialist must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Past high-volume cash applications experience is needed with a strong emphasis on processing and working through discrepancies. Experience in an accounts receivable and cash applications focused role is a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CASH APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST: • Manage matching, batching, coding, and entering invoices. • Handle cash applications processing and analysis. • Update and reconcile reporting/processing. • Apply incoming customer payments (checks, ACH, wire, credit card) to accounts and invoices. • Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short-pays, chargebacks, and unapplied cash. • Reconcile daily cash receipts to bank deposits and accounting records. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information. • Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding payment status and discrepancies. • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, or monthly cash application reports as required. • Assist with month-end close activities by reconciling AR subledger and general ledger accounts. • Support internal and external audit requests with accurate documentation. • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cash application procedures. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE CASH APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST: • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications, or related accounting function. • Strong understanding of payment processing (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards). • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar). • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, reconciliations). • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payment discrepancies. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal) for vendor and internal interactions. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE CASH APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST: • Experience working in a high-volume, multi-entity or multi-currency environment. • Advanced Excel skills (macros, complex formulas, data analysis). EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
