Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team on a Full-Time basis in our Geriatric Psychiatry department. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for administering direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or other qualified staff. This position may also perform general clerical duties to ensure the smooth operation of the unit. Essential Functions: Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned by the Registered Nurse and/or other qualified staff. Assists patients in ADLs in an effective and timely manner Ensures patients’ safety Performs clerical duties to assist in the smooth operation of the unit Participates in continued personal growth and development Performs other related duties as assigned or requested Position Requirements: Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program High School Graduate or Equivalent Prefer previous experience in a hospital and/or healthcare setting BLS certification within 90 days of hire Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
