Accounting Clerk/ Deal Coster

Position Overview:  Liberty Community Programs, a leading provider of services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, is dedicated to fostering independence, inclusion, and personal growth for our participants. We are currently seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing Account Receivable/Payable and processing insurance billing. Additionally, the Accounting Clerk will be involved in financial reporting and tax record preparation for audits. Key Responsibilities: ·         Managing accounts payable using QuickBooks and other programs ·         Handling accounts receivable/payable ·         Establishing and maintaining relationships with new vendors ·         Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures. ·         Processing due invoices for payments. ·         Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling bank for month end close. ·         Keep record of all transactions/receipts for reconciliation of company credit cards.   Requirements Qualifications:   Must have experience with processing or be familiar with Insurance billing. 10 years of experience Bachelor’s degree in business finance or related field.   Must have knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare insurance billing and other healthcare functions. Must have experience with clinical codes/medical billings. Must be familiar with QuickBooks, and other accounting tools, AP/AR month end closing, forecasting, financials, etc. A minimum of 5 years utilizing (GAAP). Advanced knowledge and experiences of spreadsheets. Advanced knowledge of pivot. Understands Payroll processing. Should be familiar with ADP, Tax filing for DE9 and 941 quarterly returns with multiple entity knowledge. About the Role The Casino Accounting Representative is responsible for auditing casino paperwork to ensure the accurate recording of casino revenue and regulatory compliance. Position Responsibilities Audits jackpot tickets and related paperwork to ensure that they are recorded correctly and have the appropriate tax documents. Documents any instances of non-compliance with internal controls and state regulations and issue exception reports. Researches, reconciles and resolves all variances for the NRT Machines. Audits Table Games fills, credits and markers and document all instances of non-compliance with internal controls and state regulations and issue exception reports. After completing the audit of all table games documents prepares the Master Game Report. Audits the cage paperwork and all related documents. Documents any instances of non-compliance with internal controls and state regulations and issue exception reports. Reads Slot and Table Games progressive meters and records figures. Records daily audit totals in a timely manner. Generates daily, weekly and month-end reports, and responds to requests from management for standard Departmental reports. Files all documents and reports in a coordinated manner. Ensures that all file boxes contain the correct documents and reports. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Functions Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke and excessive noise. Must be able to stand, sit, bend and twist for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the casino/hotel areas. This department operates 7 days per week and days off may rotate. Must be able to work holidays, weekends and flexible shift hours. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25lbs. Must be able to walk the entire casino area to: 1) read and record progressive meters using a tablet computer and 2) pick up regulatory documents from locked accounting boxes. Requirements Associate degree in accounting in combination with related work experience, or extensive work experience in casino accounting. One-year accounting experience. Six months of practical bookkeeping and/or auditing experience preferred. Must be fluent working in Excel and other computer applications to complete daily audits. Must be willing to learn the skills necessary to perform the job. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have excellent analytical and organizational skills. The Position We are seeking to fill a Manager of Revenue Cycle role in the greater Chicago, IL market. The candidate will be responsible for the oversight of revenue cycle projects to improve the integrity of Revenue Processes. The position includes a generous salary and benefits. Manager of Revenue Cycle responsibilities include: Managing the day-to-day operations of the financial reimbursement function including customer service, charge capture, claim submission, rejections, ERA/EFT, cash application, collections, and reporting. Supervising the Revenue Cycle Department in various duties, such as account management, communications with insurance providers, collections, cash posting contract analysis, claims, and charge capture. Overseeing regular audits and reviews to ensure staff follows policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations. Ensuring timely and accurate billing and collection activities are consistent with Federal, State, and department policies and procedures as well as maximum staff productivity. Developing and monitoring strategic goals and objectives; reporting performance, justification, and/or corrective action. General reporting and monitoring department’s financial performance at the departmental and billing area level. Month-end close reporting and process. Managing problematic patient accounts, refunds, outside collection services. Serving as a key external relationship manager for all payers. Supporting Medicare and payer correct coding initiatives by maintaining current knowledge of coding and coverage guidelines. Serving as a liaison between managed care, Work Comp, Medicare, and other payers, management, and clinical staff. Communicating with management or operational and reimbursement issues. Running AR reports including coordinating with the team to ensure all claims have been worked. Supporting Compliance Management in implementing and monitoring compliance. Overseeing the hiring and training of staff. Managing staff performance by providing regular feedback, performance reviews, and one-on-one meetings. Conducting random audits to verify system integrity, payer accuracy, and payment per contract, to optimize reimbursement functions. Other duties assigned. Requirements Who Are You? Strong computer skills, including the ability to work with many practice management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and reporting programs.
