Job description As LA's premier fashion development & production house with a top reputation, we are seeking a self-motivated individual to help process order fulfillment by managing our production factory. You will be expected to interact with clients, receive items, review work orders, coordinate shipping, order supplies, communicate with our sales reps, ensure accuracy of all information regarding each job, provide feedback to our office personnel regarding specs, placement, and overall production, among other responsibilities. Job is 7am-4:30pm Mon-Fri in Vernon 90058 Must be: Fluent in English and Spanish Have good communication skills (with personnel and clients) Good understanding and experience of Sewing as in seam allowances, fabric types, pattern, markers, fabric and trim sourcing ability, experience in setting up efficient sewing modules, a clear understanding of how many units should be outputed per day per sewing machine type, experience in hiring qualified employees per machine type and training or laying them off if output is sub par, able to detect and determine sewing defects on different types of garments ranging from t-shirts to leggings to bralettes and jackets. coordinating pickup and deliveries to clients, review all work orders and ensure smooth and efficient production processing in all departments, etc. Hire and fire employees as needed. (regular quarterly and yearly meetings, bonuses, reprimands, and general HR management) Must be detail-oriented, organized, and work well with tight deadlines. You would be working directly with the company principals and would be expected to be a critical thinker, problem solver, think outside the box type of person who is quick, reliable, and ensures that the job gets done.
