1year old corgi/basset (Evansville)

Due to owners worsening health issues, considering rehoming our 1 year old corgi mix. He is a 1 year old corgi basset mix. While he sounds adorable (and he is) he is stubborn, mouthy, VERY high energy and I would not recommend he be around small kids just due to him playing quite rough. He has been around cats and will chase them but not hurt them and does pretty good with them. He goes to daycare and very much enjoys playing with the big dogs. I would not recommend little dogs just because he is VERY high energy. At daycare they put him in with the large ro xl dogs. He is on prescription low fat food. This is not a decision that is made lightly as our pets are very important to us, however with him needing so much exercise and being so very high energy, it is hard to give him what he needs as my health issues worsen. I will not let him go to just anyone. I will ask for vet references and proof that he will have somewhere he can run. He does need more intensive obedience training and is very strong willed. He is potty trained. He absolutely loves to chew and his favorite treats are bully sticks and yak bones. There will be a rehoming fee.
