We’re hiring for two separate pipe welding roles — one focused on Schedule 10 thin-wall stainless steel pipe, and the other on Schedule 40 heavier-wall stainless steel piping. These are long-term, temp-to-hire opportunities with potential for full-time placement. 🛠️ We're Hiring For: 1️⃣ Schedule 10 Stainless Steel Pipe Welders Thin-wall stainless (often used in food-grade or sanitary piping) Must be proficient in TIG welding (MIG also preferred) Strong control for precise, oxidation-free welds Experience working in food processing or sanitary environments is a plus 2️⃣ Schedule 40 Stainless Steel Pipe Welders Heavier-wall stainless (used in industrial, power, and hydro plant settings) Requires experience in TIG and MIG welding Strong joint penetration and structural welding ability Experience working in industrial plant environments preferred 🔧 Key Responsibilities (Both Roles): Weld stainless steel piping (Schedule 10 or 40) to job specifications Read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and weld symbols Perform welds in multiple positions (5G, 6G, etc.) Execute full weld cycles (fit, tack, root, fill, and cap) Follow safety protocols and maintain high-quality standards Travel to jobsites in SC and potentially farther as required 🧪 Weld Test Required for Both Roles All candidates must pass a pipe weld test for their respective role: Schedule 10 Test: Thin-wall stainless pipe in 6G position, TIG root/pass with purge Schedule 40 Test: Heavy-wall stainless pipe in 6G position, TIG root/pass and potentially MIG fill Welds will be visually inspected and may undergo NDT (X-ray, dye-penetrant, etc.) based on client standards 🧰 Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience welding stainless steel piping (Schedule 10 or 40) Skilled in TIG welding; MIG experience a plus Must provide own welding hood and hand tools: Chipping hammer, clamps, pliers, soapstone, welding brush, marking tool, file, gauge, speed square Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed Must be safety-conscious and reliable Must pass weld test before starting A resume is required for consideration.
