Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. Must be knowledgeable in state and local plumbing codes and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Job Responsibilities Install and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure proper functioning Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues to determine the best course of action Interpret blueprints and building codes to ensure compliance during installation and comprehensive remodels Collaborate with other professionals (such as electricians and HVAC technicians) on construction and renovation projects Maintain and repair water heaters, gas lines, radiant heat, and irrigation systems Train and supervise apprentices and other plumbing staff as necessary
