Verify charts, inspection and test status, packaging status, etc. • Keep abreast of health and safety policies and ensure safe work practices. • Effectively interact with Production and Maintenance teams to maintain process integrity. • Ensure tests are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that process modifications are investigated if necessary. • Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and procedures pertaining to quality system. • Practice continuous improvement to improve quality performance to drive company profitability. Maintain awareness of the business context of cost of product quality. • Develop and maintain periodic MRB. Identify trends, and develop RCCA to eliminate trends. • Develop and maintain periodic inventory control for Pyrometry, Inspection, Laboratory, and supplies. Generate requisition to purchase in line with company budget. • Develop and maintain periodic calibration schedule for Pyrometry, Inspection and Testing status, etc. • Develop and Maintain requirements of Safety program by creating procedures, checklists, etc. • Develop and Maintain Fixed processes in processing. • Develop and Maintain master process planning. • Maintain professional conduct in an efficient manner with customer requests via phone/e-mail/in-person. • Practice and promote 5S principles. • Other responsibilities as assigned or dictated by position. See attached spreadsheet for detailed responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Education: Engineering or related degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be acceptable. • Experience: Requires experience and practical knowledge of commercial heat treatment of steel, laboratory & mechanical testing inspection criteria. • Must be honest, ethical and exhibit sound judgment at all times. • Passion and alignment with our mission, vision, values & operating principles. • Must have thorough knowledge of Aerospace Pyrometry specifications and procedures • Must be thoroughly familiar with commercial (AMS, ASTM), aircraft, and aerospace specifications and ISO, AS, TS and Nadcap quality systems. • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and purchase orders. • Must be detail oriented, organized and able to meet deadlines. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Must have knowledge of in-house and pc based computer operations.
