Four Seasons Tree Care is hiring full-time climbers with experience in the tree care industry. We offer overtime (over 40 hours per week), bonuses, training, and provide all necessary equipment. The climber is responsible for performing specialized tasks of climbing and pruning trees, removing trees and stump grinding efficiently, safely and systematically for both residential and commercial properties. Additional qualifications include the following skills and the ability to demonstrate them competently: Knowledge of knots for tree climbing, safe operation and maintenance of chainsaws, experience using wood chippers, stump grinders, pruning poles, ropes, harnesses, gasoline-powered machinery, cabling or bracing, and use of truck-mounted lift platforms to reach specific branches. There is an opportunity for advancement to foreman/team leader. General Requirements: • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of climbing experience • Legal authorization to work in the United States • Must pass a drug screening test upon job offer and be subject to periodic and random testing • Semi-skilled in mechanics of basic electric tools and equipment • Competent in tree climbing using the rope and saddle method and proper ground work • Knowledge and ability to tie basic knots, including but not limited to: bowline, Blake’s hitch, and nail knots • Knowledge and ability to use descent techniques and devices related to tree work
