The Center at Heron Hill is a 60 acre farm located within the Oregon woodlands of Canby, and is home to many therapeutic farm animals and nature-based spaces. We are a mental health facility that offers animal assisted therapies including equine assisted psychotherapy amongst other therapeutic modalities, as such none of the horses are ridden. Days can be sorted out with our part time caregiver. We also have on call barn staff available for when either regularly scheduled employees are unavailable for horse care. The ideal candidate will be: knowledgeable about horses (we have 16!) & donkeys (3) and comfortable handling them knowledgeable about goats (3), sheep (2), and pigs (2) comfortable working independently most days capable of lifting 55-75lb regularly availability for 32-40 hrs per week, generally starting no later than 8am.
