$22–$24/hr + Tips | Full‑Time (starting December) + As‑Needed Part‑Time Now ABOUT US: At ROLLD Sushi (www.rolldsushi.com) we believe sushi should be fresh, flavorful—and fuss‑free. Located on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica, we’re building a modern, fast‑paced sushi kitchen that delivers high‑quality hand rolls with clean flavors and smart execution. We’re gearing up for our grand opening this December and in the interim we’re seeking skilled sushi line chefs to join us—both on a part‑time basis now for event support, and transitioning to full‑time at launch. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Prepare fresh sushi rice and handle fish/seafood with precision and care - Execute knife cuts, portioning, filleting and prepping ingredients for sushi and hand rolls - Roll hand‑rolls and specialty items to brand standards - Maintain the open kitchen, ensuring it remains clean and orderly as everything is in view from customers. - Work efficiently in a high‑volume environment - Uphold food‑safety, sanitation and hygiene protocols at all times - Assist with prep, ingredient set‑up and restock of your line before service - Work collaboratively in a fast‑moving team, maintain quality control and consistency REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: - Prior experience as a sushi line chef or similar role in a sushi/kitchen environment - Excellent knife skills, fish handling and knowledge of sushi rice preparation - Familiarity with traditional sushi techniques, hand roll and maki techniques preferred - Ability to thrive in a high‑energy, fast‑paced kitchen environment - Strong food safety awareness and sanitation mindset - Reliable, consistent, positive attitude, with a strong sense of teamwork - Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. - Must hold ServeSafe certification  COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE: $22-24 per hour (depending on experience) plus tips (shared/pooled) Now: Part‑time as needed supporting events and pre‑opening prep From December: Full‑time role as we open our doors on Montana Avenue HOW TO APPLY: Please reply with your resume and a brief introduction.
