Hadsten Træindustri Danish Modern executive desk by Andreas Hansen B11 - $1,000 (Northern RI)

I respond to all serious e-mails so check your spam folder if you haven't heard back from me. Handmade Danish Teak Executive desk. Desk was hand crafted in Denmark by Andreas Hansen for Hadsten Træindustri in 1988. Desk is in good used condition. Almost entirely joined by attractive box joints. Drawers all work perfectly and are clean. Front has 2 storage areas with shelves and doors. Doors work perfectly but cupboards are a little dirty. The rail which runs along the edge of the top is cracked on one end. It is not broken off or missing any wood, just cracked. It was likely damaged moving the top which is pretty heavy and cumbersome. There are 3 pull out writing surfaces in pretty good condition. The 2 smaller ones are missing the leather lining which is in the larger one on the front. I had a very similar desk by Finn Hansen and the writing surfaces were glass sheets. One of the writing surfaces has a loose knob so I removed it so it would not get lost. 2 of the original knobs were missing so I bought a similar replacement hand turned teak set for all of the knobs so they would match. The original knobs will be included. Leather top is a little beat up, it unscrews from the bottom and looks like it would be pretty easy to replace but a good cleaning would go a long way. Edges of top show some wear to the finish, I have no keys for the locks. Overall piece is in pretty good used condition. Top is approx. 36 inches wide and 72 inches long.
