Position Summary: Provide technical design, consultation, information and assistance to internal and external customers under direct supervision to insure that project complies with all engineering standards. The designer will work under the supervision of more senior engineers. Work will be completed in concert with the stated project requirements, all current codes, as well as Prime Electric Engineering Standards. Applicant will be responsible for designing, developing and producing permit and construction documents for electrical systems. Essential Job Functions: • Power Distribution, Signal and Lighting Design • Single line Diagrams and Panel Schedules • Lighting Fixture Selection and Schedules • Lighting Control Diagrams • Title 24 Compliance Calculations • Review shop drawings and specifications • Review, comment and process equipment and system submittals • Visit job sites for field investigations • Voltage drop, load and demand calculations • Coordination with other construction trades and disciplines • Back check of own work for accuracy and completeness before submission to others • Perform coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, process and all electrical trades • Coordinate work with the project specifications or equipment buy-out • Attend project design team meetings. Interface with various team members, particularly the client, architect, and mechanical contractor/engineer • Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors • Perform other duties assigned by Director of Engineering Minimum Job Requirements: • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering a plus • Minimum 2-Years of experience in electrical systems design a plus • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Word & Excel • Experience with Revit & Navis Manage a plus • Reasonable knowledge of the NEC as well as building codes and ordinances • Broad knowledge and experience with power and lighting design • Understanding of sustainable design and LEED Documentation a plus • Documents and archives work pursuant the Prime Electric standards

Position Overview: This is an assistant managerial position that reports to the Project Manager and/or Sr. Project Manager for the Department    Assigned Responsibilities: Manage projects and scopes as assigned by manager. Work with owner’s representative to communicate progress of project. Prepare preliminary estimates / budgets.  Select subcontractors to solicit bids.  Review subcontractor proposals  Prepare, review for approval, and submit contract changes/proposal to owner. Negotiate contract changes/proposals with owners. Solicit and process submittals and shop drawings. Collaborate and prepare CPM project schedule.  Preparation of job cost budget.  Monitor construction progress with Superintendent.  Maintain project documentation.  Investigate adverse situations and report to PM and/or Sr. PM Represent company in project meetings, when required. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining project costs.
