




Job Title: House Manager & Personal Assistant (with Pet Care & Meal Prep Support) Location: Alexandria, VA 22314 Employment Type: Part-time (approximately 10–20 hours/week to start, transitioning to 5–10 hours/week as routines are established) Proposed Schedule: Flexible weekday hours, with core anchor days on Monday & Wednesday’s. Occasional weekend or travel-related support may be requested with advance notice. Requirements: - Maintain a smoke free environment - Must pass a background check - Reliable transportation and clean driving record - Comfortable handling a large dog (English Lab, 75 lbs) - Comfortable working with or without a family car, or using own car with mileage reimbursement - Up-to-date on vaccinations (COVID, flu, and general immunizations) - Ability to handle occasional overnight stays with family dog and flexibility with schedule is valued - Tech-savvy, with a curiosity to help teach new tech to streamline household operations About The Home/Work Environment: I’m a busy executive who works in a fast-paced environment and travels frequently for work. I’m looking for someone who can help manage the daily responsibilities, provide pet care for my well-trained dog, assist with light meal prep, and offer general household support with both efficiency and reliability to ensure the household runs seamlessly. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable around large dogs, tech-savvy, and appreciates clear communication. I need someone who is proactive, dependable and doesn’t miss a detail who can strike a balance between organization and flexibility, helping keep things running smoothly while also respecting personal space and time. Key Responsibilities: Household Management & Organization - Maintain household organization (closets, pantry, and storage) - Reset and tidy rooms daily, ensuring everything is prepped for weekly cleaning service - Oversee household schedules and calendars - Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding, etc.) - Prepare for upcoming events, holidays, and guest stays - Coordinate donation drop-offs and pick-ups - Assist with unpacking from travel - Supervise or coordinate with service providers/vendors (e.g., handymen, landscapers) - Daily tidying: load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas - Weekly care and watering of outdoor plants Inventory Management & Errands - Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and household supplies - Create and manage running household supply lists (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.) - Run errands: returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping - Handle package pickup, mail sorting, and deliveries Meal Planning & Preparation - Plan and prep healthy lunches and snacks for the week - Assist with occasional grocery shopping and meal-related items - Follow dietary needs and preferences (balanced meals with protein, grains, vegetables, etc.) - Maintain kitchen cleanliness and tidiness.
