We are looking for competent and hard working staff members to fill open positions! Job Title: Direct Support Professional Location: Greensboro N.C and surrounding areas Schedule: We have a few shifts available and are actively seeking staff for All Shifts! Position Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide supports for Adult IDD members in the community and residential settings with mild to severe behaviors. The ideal candidates will be responsible for supporting the individual’s daily activities, ensuring safety, and fostering independence. Responsibilities: Create a therapeutic, safe and engaging environment when with your members Assist the member with daily activities and community engagement. Manage behaviors effectively with patience and professionalism. Have composure in some of the challenging days you may have with the members. Promote independence and provide emotional support. Ensure the safety and well-being of the member. Accompany the member to appointments, errands, and community events. Maintain accurate records of the member’s progress and behavior. Qualifications: Valid driver’s license. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Reliable vehicle with valid insurance and registration. Must have a decent but not necessarily perfect background (No major violent offenses). Physically capable of managing behavioral challenges. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and adapt to changing needs. Preferred Qualities: Previous experience in one-on-one healthcare or direct support roles.
