Overview CDI Custom Design is seeking a dependable and hardworking Wood Shop Helper with at least 2 years of experience in a cabinet or woodworking shop. This position is perfect for someone who already has foundational skills and is ready to take the next step toward becoming a full-fledged cabinet maker or shop carpenter. You’ll work directly with experienced craftsmen, assisting in production while continuing to develop your skills in all aspects of custom cabinetry and millwork fabrication. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Assist with fabrication, sanding, assembly, and finishing of custom cabinetry and millwork. • Help prepare materials, load/unload deliveries, and organize job components. • Operate hand tools and basic woodworking equipment safely and efficiently. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Read and follow basic shop drawings or instructions. • Support senior carpenters and the shop manager with daily production needs. • Take initiative to learn more advanced skills and techniques over time. ________________________________________ Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of woodworking, cabinetry, or shop experience required. • Familiarity with hand tools, woodworking machines, and general shop practices. • Ability to measure accurately and follow instructions. • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented. • Team player with good communication skills. • Valid driver’s license preferred. ________________________________________ Growth Opportunity This role offers a clear path for advancement.
