Bald Head Island Transportation, Inc. is looking for a Seasonal Part-Time Dockperson to work on the Mainland. Base salary plus good customer service results in good tips. A Luggage Handler/Dockperson is an Employee who is the first to welcome customers at the ferry landings, assists them with their luggage and provides general information. Excellent customer service is a must. Reports to the Shift Supervisor and/or Assistant Transportation Manager. Work schedules include days, evenings, weekends and holidays, and is outside work. Graduation from high school or equivalent. One year of experience in a position dealing with the public; or an equivalent combination of training and experience to provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
