We’re on a 3rd local shop, downtown San Diego looking for a full-time team member to join us. Ideally, you’ve got experience with Adobe Illustrator and can jump in to help with artwork setup, printing, and general shop tasks. We’re looking for someone reliable, creative, and ready to be hands-on. Creative Repair Specialist - art background / work with your hands / think outside the box We are a fast-growing company that focuses on spot repairs to a wide-variety of interior and exterior surfaces - countertops, cabinets, floors, tubs, tile, sinks, appliances and more. Skills, experience and characteristics we are looking for include: * Experience working with your hands, whether that’s in construction, artistic endeavors, manufacturing or even a hobby or craft * Having experience working in facilities maintenance can be very helpful * It is helpful, but not necessary to have an Art background. Understanding color and how to match color is a large part of what we do. * Experience working directly with customers. Seeking skilled artisan to hand apply gold leaf, silver leaf or painted decorative trim to custom manufactured pieces. This is a part time job located at our business in Santa Fe Springs. Approximately 15-20 hours per week. We offer flexible scheduling; however, we are looking for a consistent commitment. (i.e. Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 10am-2pm) We are seeking individuals who would like long term work that offers flexibility. Compensation: You will be an employee of the company and compensation is dependent upon experience. Key Responsibilities: Surface Preparation: Cleaning and preparing the surface to ensure optimal adhesion of the gold or silver leaf or paint. Measuring, Taping and Using a precise blade prior to the trim application to achieve the necessary uniform width of trim on the piece. Gold or Silver Leaf Application: Meticulously apply thin sheets of gold or silver leaf to the designated areas of the fixtures, achieving a smooth and uniform finish. Paint Application: Meticulously apply the paint achieving a smooth and uniform finish. Glazing: Apply glaze to seal the pieces to give the look of uniform brush strokes. Quality Control: Inspect pieces as to ensure there are no finish issues. If there are finish issues, and they cannot be touched up in house, make note of them and notify your supervisor immediately. Detailing and Final Preparation of Pieces for shipment. Desired Qualifications: • 5+ Years Fine Art experience, including previous experience with the application of gold or silver gilding • Ability and knowledge to meticulously and uniformly paint trim detailing for production

So Cal Ink is a fully custom Tattoo / Piercing studio established in 2011 on Broadway Blvd in Glendale district of Los Angeles. We're currently hiring for a creative, motivated Tattoo Artist! Our studio space is clean and comfortable, a mix of an exciting experience and far from a traditional Tattoo shop.
