Aloha Print Group is a woman-owned and locally operated digital print company. We’ve been established in Chicago for over two decades and serve clients of all types, including marketing firms, hospitality establishments, and national companies. We handle digital print and litigation projects for a variety of vertical markets. We are seeking a reliable and personable Printing Press Technician to join our team. You will help produce small format print materials, often under fast turnaround times. Attention to detail, self direction, and commitment to producing quality print materials will make you the ideal applicant for this role. Responsibilities: ●Read and interpret job tickets - identify & process digital files in the press queues ●Maintain set production timelines ●Load paper stock into the printing press according to specifications ●Produce and check samples for quality and registration before approving entire runs ●Identify print quality issues and report potential problems ●Monitor up to 5 small format presses, addressing jams and toner or stock replenishments promptly ●Assist the Production Manager with press maintenance and troubleshooting as needed ●Maintain a clean and organized shop environment ●Receive supply deliveries and put away paper stock in appropriate areas Requirements: ●Strong attention to detail ●Keen and sensitive attention to color quality ●Ability to work independently and as a part of a team ●Ability to follow instructions and adhere to set protocols ●Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as needed What’s in it for you? This person will have the opportunity to work on up to 10 different work orders every day, producing different parts from a variety of different gauge metals. Here’s what you’ll be doing: • Receive work orders with production instructions and work with our Tool & Die and Materials Teams to get the brake press and the work station ready for production. • Inspect the set-up and run quality tests on the brake press. • Run the Brake Press while monitoring quality, consistency, and compliance of the parts being produced. • Troubleshoot production issues and adjust the set-up to fulfill the requirements of the work order. • Log work order progress and provide information to Quality, as requested. • Remove the tool and reset the brake press set-up for the next work order. • Be flexible and versatile to fill-in in other areas to meet the needs of ever-changing bottlenecks.
