Project Manager - Flatwork (Commerce City, CO)
Summary:
Oversees all aspects of flatwork concrete projects (driveways, patios, sidewalks, basement floors, and garage slabs) within residential home construction. Ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Coordinates with builders, subcontractors, and very rarely, homeowners to deliver durable, high-quality flatwork that integrates seamlessly with overall home building schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and manage flatwork crews for residential construction projects.
Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and structural drawings.
Estimate materials, labor, and equipment needs.
Coordinate site preparation, form setting, pouring, finishing, curing, and jointing.
Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and quality standards.
Maintain communication with general contractors, homeowners, and inspectors.
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards on all job sites.
Resolve on-site issues and adapt schedules to weather, material, or design changes.
Track project progress, report updates, and close out completed work.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of concrete flatwork techniques, finishing, and curing processes.
Project management and scheduling experience in residential construction.
Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of construction safety standards and site compliance.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
