Deke's Auto Tech, a trusted and busy auto repair shop is looking for you to be on our team! As the first point of contact for our customers, you'll play a vital role in delivering an outstanding service experience. We're looking for someone professional, organized and enthusiastic about helping people keep their vehicles running smoothly. Responsibilities: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, in person and over the phone. Accurately gather vehicle information and customer concerns. Clearly explain recommended repairs and maintenance services. Prepare and review repair estimates and invoices. Schedule appointments and coordinate with technicians. Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the repair process. Sell necessary services based on technician recommendations and vehicle history. Requirements: Strong customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written). Confidently explain automotive services and repair in a way customers understand. Professional demeanor with excellent phone and interpersonal etiquette. Solid reading and writing abilities for work orders and customer communication. General knowledge of automotive systems and services (prior experience in the industry a plus). Ability to stay organized in a fast paced environment. Small Engine Mechanic
Position Summary We are seeking a full‑time Small Engine Mechanic experienced in both commercial and residential equipment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining 2‑stroke and 4‑stroke engines and either already certified or eager to obtain certification (with employer support) ⏰ Hours & Scheduling Typically Mon–Fri, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Key Responsibilities Diagnose issues, perform tune‑ups, and maintain a variety of small engine equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, chainsaws, blowers, riding tractors, generators, zero turn mowers, stand on mowers) Conduct routine engine maintenance: oil & filter changes, spark plug and air filter replacements, blade sharpening, fluid adjustments, lubrication, pressure washing Troubleshoot mechanical, fuel, and electrical systems; adjust components to spec; replace worn parts; reassemble and test engines Communicate clearly with customers regarding diagnostics, needed repairs, estimates, and maintenance Keep meticulous records of diagnostics, repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; adhere to safety standards and shop protocols Required Qualifications Proven experience servicing both commercial and residential small engine equipment.
