Optimal Surveying & Mapping, Inc. (OSM), fka O'Neal Surveying & Mapping, Inc. currently has an opening for Survey Crew Chief for their Tallahassee office. This position requires a minimum of 3-4 years as Crew Chief. OSM offers competitive pay, and benefits. These include 100% company paid Health, Dental and Vision Insurance. Coverage begins after a probationary period of 60 days of full-time employment. In addition, this position will include 80 hours paid PTO and 7 paid holidays per year. Full-Time employees receive bonuses at least once a year. OSM strives to work a 4-day work week, 10-hour workdays, whenever possible. Weather or scheduling will occasionally require working 5 days or more, but this is the exception. Our work week is primarily Monday through Thursday. This Position Requires: • Perform design survey in support of engineering projects. Experience should include but is not limited to: establish horizontal and vertical control, LiDAR, as-built surveys, construction stakeout, boundary surveys, topographic, Mean High Water, tree, hydrographic, wetland surveys and transportation/route surveys. • Ability to use both Conventional and Global Positioning System (GPS) methods. • Instruct your crew in proper methods of use and maintenance of survey equipment. • Ability to operate equipment accurately/efficiently to acquire necessary data. Trimble Access is a PLUS. • Provide complete and accurate field notes. • FDOT experience is highly desired. • Ability to work well with others. Additionally: • Ability to pass FAA background check/fingerprinting. • CST Certification a plus. • A High School diploma or GED is required for this position. • Valid Florida driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required for this position. • Required to travel overnight 3 or more nights a week, when needed. • Overtime will be required on occasion, to meet schedules. • Ability to lift 50 pounds and carry equipment. • Ability to access remote locations in wildlife management areas • Good leadership and communication skills. • Ability to follow directions from Supervisors and provide positive feedback. Lift Maintenance Mechanic– Dept 65 Do you enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions, working with large equipment, unafraid of heights and providing exceptional service? Our Lift Maintenance department could be a good fit for you! Position Specific Duties: Operate chairlifts within the guidelines of Washington State tramway safety committee rules and ansi b77 code books. Required to conduct Daily, Weekly, and monthly inspections for any existing or potential problems, to maintain and repair lifts according to prescribed procedures see maintenance manuals. Must be able to open assigned lifts for operation: Turning on main power (480 vac), turn on low voltage, perform all stop and safety checks at all stations, check all fluids at stations including primary, secondary, spacing gear boxes, brakes, hydraulic tension, apu and tertiary reservoirs, battery fluid levels and so forth. Perform drive checks: checking all machinery and mechanical parts of the drive station, including primary drive, auxiliary drive, primary, secondary, and spacing gear boxes, fluid levels, batteries, terminal sheaves, tires, belts, brake pads, hoses, and so forth. Perform return checks: check carriage position, tension systems, terminal sheaves, tires, belts, hoses, batteries, and so forth. Maintain a clean and effective working environment for self and staff. Ability to ski or snowboard. Ability to operate vehicles, snow mobiles, and ATVs. Reports to Nick Clutter, Director of Lift Operations. All positions within the department require the following abilities: Mechanically Inclined: Must be able to assure that all equipment and machines are properly cared for including operation, stowing, and reporting. Must have basic mechanical knowledge and skills and basic low voltage electrical knowledge. Integrity: Always demonstrates responsible and honest behavior in all tasks and job duties. Use care with machinery and equipment which can have sharp edges, extremely hot and/or cold surfaces as well as moving parts. Ability to move carefully throughout mountain including pathways and walkways in and out of buildings which may be icy and/or have high snowdrifts. Working outside with extremely low temperatures including at night. Requirements • Must be 19 years old or older • Must have high school diploma or equivalent • Must have a clear driving record and ability to meet insurance requirements • Mechanical skills to troubleshoot issues • Properly report and document all work done • Climb towers safely and effectively with team • Make quick decisions in the best interest of guests and Mountain • Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills.
