Is it possible to have a few IRL depression support friends who actually meet? Ive often felt like whats missing in my seeking help is the friend who also knows depression and the topic is not taboo, but always on the table as a possible subject to discuss. Almost like a counselor but more casual and friendly. People who agree to meet say once a week, share some laughs, some walks, talks, visits to parks, cafes or museums, but also share supportive insights into their dealings with depression. Yes i have some friends but ive always felt lonelier with them by the fact (i have learned) that people shy away from what they consider this dark unspeakable topic. This happens even though these friends might also be struggling, yet its a forbidden topic and it is better to distract ourselves. I have since learned the hard way not to mention my struggles, because it drives them away. Well thats okay, but i still think it would help to have at least one person with whom we can be casual counselors for each other and vent these topics. If theres people in new orleans who have that some struggle and want to have a friendship where its okay to feel depressed and talk about it, give me a shout?

Loon Mountain is Now Hiring Full Time Seasonal Snowmakers Job Overview Create massive amounts of snow while utilizing New Hampshire’s most powerful snowmaking. Work with a team of driven individuals all focused on creating high-quality snow across three mountain peaks. As a Loon snowmaker, you will routinely work with industry-leading snowmaking equipment while maintaining waterlines, hydrants, and high-pressure pumps across the resort. You must be safety conscious, love the outdoors, and be able to hike and work in extreme weather conditions. Entry level position in Snowmaking department. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Set up and monitor snow guns. • Monitor performance as needed to insure proper air/water combination and quality snow. • Produce quality snow across all three mountain peaks. • Inspect guns, hoses, hydrants, and other equipment to insure safe and efficient operation. • Adjust the water and/or air flow to snow guns. • Change nozzles on snow guns when necessary to maintain efficiency. • Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment, including checking water pipes, fluid levels and volume, temperature controls, and energy consumption. • Document and report mechanical/safety issues, complete maintenance logs and checklists. • Perform light maintenance or repairs on equipment. • Work safely in close proximity to heavy equipment, high voltage, and high water pressures. • Perform other duties as assigned while waiting for optimum snowmaking weather. • Work closely with and assist other departments such as Grooming, Ski Patrol, Lift Operations, etc. • Test the quality of snow as it is made, reporting findings and conditions to the supervisor. • Drive snowmobiles, trucks, and ATVs as necessary. RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY: • Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Loon Mountain Resort guests at all times. • Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay. • Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor. • Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures. • Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others. • Drive in accordance with the law and Loon Mountain Resort policies if required to drive. Be willing to ride as a passenger as needed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
