We're seeking a new kitchen team member to join our team at Re/creation Cafe, a unique art and music cafe in Mid City. Line Cook: Part-time employment working 3-4 shifts per week. Must be available to work nights and weekends with at least four years of experience working on a line in a restaurant or cafe. Looking for someone that is a great team player, has a positive attitude, and is willing to work in various roles when needed. The job requires prep work and line cook experience. English and Spanish speaking is a plus. Experience baking also a plus. Re/creation Cafe is an elevated fast casual art and music cafe in Mid City (near Culver City & K-town) serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are open Tuesday through Sunday. We are looking for team members who are dedicated, reliable, great team players with a positive attitude, have excellent customer service, and attention to quality. OPEN POSITIONS: Line Cook: - Must have at least four years experience working the line. - Seeking someone that is fast, efficient, and pays close attention to food quality. - Must speak enough english to communicate with team members & management effectively. - Available to work at least 3-4 days a week, mostly evening shifts 3PM - 10PM. - Potential to become an evening kitchen manager for higher pay. - Starting pay $20-$22/hour + tips. This includes experiential knowledge required for the management of people and/or complex problems and food and beverage management.
