Eggslut is hiring! We're growing our team and are looking for Line/Prep Cooks for our location at the Beverly Center. Eggslut Beverly Center - 8500 Beverly Blvd Ste 101, Los Angeles, CA 90048 Hours of Operation: 8:00AM - 2:00PM, 7 Days A Week OBJECTIVE The Line/Prep Cook is responsible for preparing all food served at the restaurant. Their main focus is to maintain high food standards, a clean, safe kitchen and follow all Eggslut procedures (recipes, cooking instructions, etc.) according to local Health Department standards. Overall, their job is to efficiently work assigned stations in the kitchen. REPORTS TO: Management CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt; Hourly + Tips PAY: Starting at $17.87/hr BENEFITS Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance available for full-time employees after 90-day probationary period PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - The ability to speak, see, hear, read, and write - mobility and manual dexterity - The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction - The ability to bend, crouch, stand, and perform movement for up to 8-10 hours a day - The ability to lift heavy items (20+ lbs) - The ability to be exposed to wet floors, noise, and temperature extremes - The ability to perform in a fast paced, busy environment with attention to detail QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS - Must have valid U.S. identification/work authorization (required) - ServSafe certified (or other Food Handler certification) - Highly-driven individual who enjoys working with people - Right attitude necessary to work in fast-paced environment with others - Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and self-directed - Excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills - Demonstrate commitment to excellent guest service DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible for opening/closing store - Display ability to efficiently work all designated hotline stations - Display ability to assist/work Expo Station (call tickets, call back to line, maintain reasonable ticket times) - Display ability to assist with produce, meat, bread and dairy orders (document on-hand/pars) - Perform line checks - Assist in ensuring the highest standards for product - Assist in ensuring proper food presentation - Assist management in training of kitchen staff - Maintain a high level of communication with management Stop by and say 'hello'!
