We are seeking Production Associates/Assemblers for the remainder of the year. Our normal working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm and your hours will be 35-40 hours/week. Depending on mutual interest and business needs, this may convert to a full-time position in January. You will be working in our Production and Post-Production Team to prep, pour, clean, label, and pack our candles. The ideal teammate will have attention to small details and is able to perform repetitive tasks at an acceptable pace and maintain quality. The job is rewarding, but also requires a lot of manual labor, so these individuals should be able to stand on their feet 8 hours per day, lift 50 lb boxes throughout the day, and work with their hands. Setups for 1 up, 2 up, wrap, interstack and slit/nest work. •Inserting: focus on WD and Epic lines. Setups for 4x8, #10, 6x9 – including friction/rotary feeders, double detection, thin and thick work, card attached labels, IMB camera, loading templates/modes •Read job recaps thoroughly and check jobs as to accuracy, reporting any error or discrepancy to the supervisor immediately •Clean machines prior to setups and inspect the machines as a preventive maintenance measure. •Maintain production standards. Report any production, quality or safety problems to the supervisor immediately. •Perform daily/weekly/monthly preventive maintenance on machines as necessary. Contribute to PM planning. •Perform minor electrical testing, such as, change fuses and fix broken wires. •Perform small parts replacement as needed: •Bindery: folder rollers, glue nozzles, feed rollers/belts, bearings, Spedo pin feeds •Inserting: feed rolls/belts, glue/water nozzles, minor transport repairs •Respond to machine problems throughout the shift. •Diagnose problems and perform minor repairs and adjustments as quickly as possible to avoid production delays. •Utilize MicroMain system for all repairs/parts. Follow all crib procedures, find parts (look up in system and locate), complete all paperwork etc. to ensure accurate parts inventory. •Move to other areas or perform other duties as directed by supervision. •Comply with company rules and regulations. •Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data. •Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department. •Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will affect the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives. •Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.
