At White Mountain Builders Inc. we are looking for experienced Finish Carpenters to work on an assignment at Waiki'i Ranch for the next several months. The job involves unique challenges installing custom cabinets and metal doors/windows in a large log cabin. You will be working as a member of a team with other finish carpenters. Future opportunities will involve working on custom home remodeling and new build projects on the West side generally in the Waikoloa and Kamuela areas. Responsibilities: Install the following items: tongue and groove ceilings; custom doors and windows including trim out; custom cabinetry; shelving, and other custom items. Requirements for this position are: -Must have finish carpentry experience (with references or examples) -Ability to read, understand and follow Architectural plan sets -Technical understanding of custom installations requiring individual assessment of each task to determine appropriate steps to take -Capable of problem-solving and dealing with complex detailed tasks -Knowledge of job site safety -Own your own tools for use at job sites -Own a reliable vehicle with proof of current license, registration, and insurance -Excellent communication skills -Dependable -Be able to work harmoniously as part of a team White Mountain Builders Inc. is currently hiring persons already residing on the Big Island of Hawaii. We give priority to persons living on the West side of the island but will consider persons commuting from elsewhere who are able to make that daily commitment.
