We are a new catering company in Columbus and we are searching for a solid professional to help us manage a team at off site venues for successful execution of catering events. We are looking for a person who can lead with a calm, effective and assertive direction and empower our staff to want to work with them to make each of our events an amazing success! Some heavy lifting, 8 to 10 hour days and out of town travel is normal. Each event consists of: Picking up the van, loading all equipment, taking it to the venue, working with the contact person(usually the venue manager, owner or family member of the client) to ensure that everything is set up accordingly, coordinating staff to: serve hors d'oeuvres, entrees etc, bus tables and clean areas, arrange to get plates and silverware clean and dry, napkins and linens counted and bagged, all equipment sprayed and clean before packing up and returning all equipment back to base while leaving the venue cleaner than it was before we got there!! We are a fun company to work with and promote a healthy diverse atmosphere to work in! We will pay the right candidate well with the following experience: •2 or more years of operational management experience in the catering field •Exceptional interpersonal skills and decision making ability •The ability to lead, supervise, train and coordinate the catering team •Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule •Operational knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment •ServSafe Certification preferred •Professional image • Tues through Saturday availability •Willing to travel locally
