This 1928 Harrington baby grand has just come through a full restoration here at the piano shop, and it’s now in exceptional condition—likely better than it’s been in 80 or 90 years. Originally built in New York, it’s a 5'1" grand with a surprisingly powerful voice for its size. We replaced the strings, tuning pins (all torqued to spec), and hammers, and gave the action a full regulation, alignment, and lubrication. With the strings off, we also had the chance to give the soundboard a thorough inspection and cleanup. The cabinet has been fully refinished, bringing out its original beauty, and the metal hardware was replated. This Harrington piano has a beautiful tone and a really light, responsive touch. At 5'1", it’s a great size for a living room but still packs a lot of projection and power. Now that it’s fully restored, it’s ready to serve another generation of musicians for decades to come.
